One of the ministries that we at Prairie Hills does monthly is feeding the homeless in Wichita. We started this mininstry during the youth 30 hr. Famine in 2006. It was suppose to be a one time thing and the youth  were so moved by the people and facing the fact that they themselves didn't have it so bad! So the youth asked if we could do this every month and we decided as a church that this was a good ministry to have. We go on the last Sunday of every month. We have also done special times, like one valentines day I thought we should do something special, so we made valentine sacks and put sock, underclothes, candy & things in and went and handed them out, it was such a nice surprize for them and a blessing for us. In April, a coulpe was visiting the church from First So. Baptist and they went with us, they were so moved that they have gone to their church and are going to start collecting toiletries for the homeless, as that was something that we were doing also, so this will be a blessing.
